Birthdays and kid-related funnies

Lots of news. Owen turned two, and is proud to tell anyone who asks! He'll answer either "I'm two" or "Woody." I guess age and halloween costumes are easily interchangeable at this age. I'll upload pics of birthday and halloween soon!

Mackay recently had a funny incident with my mom. After diligently trying to explain something to her nana several times, and my mom (who is a tad hard of hearing in one ear) not understanding, Mackay said 'Nana, I don't think your ears are hearing what I am trying to tell them!'

And just tonight, I overheard Bill talking to Mackay, For all the world, I thought I heard Bill ask her "So, what do you think about Jesus." Those of you who know our household might understand why I would be surprised to hear this question. Had I given it a moment's thought, though, I would have realized that I had just delivered them a cup of Cheez Its.

Bill now thinks we have a mass market for a bumper sticker called 'What would Cheez Its do?'

Day 15 (and 16 and 17) - Park City, Utah

The drive out of Grand Teton, heading south toward Park City was lovely - with the terrain slowly changing from sharp craggy mountains to the red erosion that is more common as you drive south. We saw on our ChargePoint App that there was a fast charger at a place call the Bread Board in Lander, WY. We stopped for breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised by great bread/sandwiches, and a single charger that offered 5$ an hour (pro-rated if you don't stay a full hour) for charging, at a speedy 45 mph (not Tesla, supercharger speedy, which can top 360 mph, but very good for a generic all purpose charger). We headed out after breakfast and made our way south. Super cool canyon walls outside Grand Teton We continued on the winding roads, whose speed limit quickly jumped to 80 MPH, which I thought was pretty awesome. Mackay is Teething!

Big news. Guess what....Mackay loved having her sore gums soothed with little dabs of bourbon...she thought about it, liked it, and she calmed down...mostly. This is Rosi, Mackay's godmother...not fairy...letting you all know that teething babies like a little bourbon. And no, this doesn't make them alcoholics for life.

Drum roll please. Mackay sat up today. By herself! For several minutes. She even picked up a couple toys without falling over. It's very exciting. My, has my definition of excitement changed since I had a baby.
